This patented product, the Downunder Bunker, is CodeMark Certified under the Australian CodeMark Building Product Certification Scheme. The product has been independently assessed and certified by CertMark International (CMI), an internationally recognised conformity assessment body. Certification confirms that the Downunder Bunker complies with the Building Code of Australia (BCA) requirements applicable to its classification as a Class 10c structure, verifying that all applicable performance requirements and manufacturer‑specified technical criteria within the approved scope of certification have been met.


Downunder Bunkers is committed to meeting, and where possible exceeding, Australian standards for bushfire shelters. Our systems are designed in accordance with the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3959:2018 – Construction of Buildings in Bushfire‑Prone Areas, with a strong focus on structural integrity, fire resistance, and controlled ventilation to ensure reliable performance under extreme bushfire conditions. The CodeMark Scheme is a nationally recognised building product certification program administered under the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB), with scheme rules publicly available at www.abcb.gov.au, providing formal confirmation of compliance with the relevant BCA provisions claimed against and supporting acceptance by building authorities across Australia
